Undo
(keyboard shortcut:

Undo your last action (or series of actions).

Note: Undo only works with some actions at present, such as Cut, Delete, Paste, and Arrange).

 

Redo
(keyboard shortcut:
Cntl-Y or Command-Y)

Redo your last Undo command (or series of Undo commands).

Note: Only works with some actions at present, such as Cut, Delete, Paste, and Arrange).

 

Cut
(keyboard shortcut:
Cntl-X or Command-X)

Cut (remove) a node, selection of nodes, link, selection of links, or text from a node Label or Detail.

When you Cut something, it is removed from the current view or node and placed on your computer’s clipboard, available for subsequent actions. Cut nodes are placed in the Trash Bin, if they are not present in any other view.

Note: Subsequent Cut or Copy commands will replace whatever is on the clipboard.

 

Copy
(keyboard shortcut:
Cntl-C or Command-C)

Copy a node, selection of nodes, link, selection of links, or text from a node Label or Detail.

When you Copy something, it is placed on your computer’s clipboard, available for subsequent actions. It is not removed from its current location.

Note: Subsequent Cut or Copy commands will replace whatever is on the clipboard.

 

Paste
(keyboard shortcut:
Cntl-V or Command-V)

Place objects (nodes, links, and/or text) from the clipboard into the current view or node.

 

Copy to Another Project
(keyboard shortcut:
Alt-E-A)

Copy a node, selection of nodes, link, selection of links, or text from a node Label or Detail.

When you Copy something, it is placed on your computer’s clipboard, available for subsequent actions. It is not removed from its current location.

Here a deep copy is performed in order to be able to paste full maps depths into another project

Note: Subsequent Cut or Copy commands will replace whatever is on the clipboard.

 

Paste from Another Project
(keyboard shortcut:
Alt-E-F)

Place objects (nodes, links, and/or text) stored to the clipboard with 'Copy from Another Project', into the current view.

 

Select All
(keyboard shortcut:
Cntl-A or Command-A)

Select all nodes and links in the current view.

 

Delete
(keyboard shortcut:
Del or Backspace

Remove a node, selection of nodes, link, selection of links, or text from a node Label or Detail.

When you Delete something, it is removed from the current view or node. It is not placed on your computer’s clipboard. Deleted nodes are placed in the Trash Bin, if they are not present in any other view.

To retrieve items deleted in error, choose “Undo” from the Edit menu

Search
(keyboard shortcut:

Open the Search dialog box and allows you to look throughout Compendium's database for items of interest.
