Effectively, it will repaint the maps and lists with the latest database data, which will display any new nodes added by other users. see Group Working

Auto Refresh Start/Stop

This button allows you to start and stop the auto-refreshing of the local data. It is part of the new group working functionality and is only available when connected to a remote MySQL database.

This effectively does the same thing as the above refresh local data button mentioned above, but on a timer. So it will automatically keep refreshing the data you see allowing you to see any new nodes added by other remote users.

This is best kept on higher interval settings, and can have a few interface side-effects if you are in the middle of creating a node, say, when the refresh runs. It is a work in progress to help facility group working.
